Madison East's Geszvain Honored

Madison East heavyweight Dylan Geszvain, who had the most victories (28) of any wrestler in the city, was one of four Purgolders who received all-city honors during the 41st annual banquet Monday at Edgewood High School. Teammates Dan Evans (125 pounds), Jeff Wilesczewski (145) and Larry Moen (189) joined him on the team. Wilesczewski was honored for most pins (18).
Madison Memorial had the most all-city selections with five, including four of the first five weights.
Each school honored its George Martin Award winner, given to the wrestler who best personified the qualities of sportsmanship, character and application prized by the longtime University of Wisconsin coach. The five honorees included the first girl, Edgewood's Emily Anderson.
